Intel has provided more details about its Atom N570 chip, said netbooks are available with the processor later this month.
The dual-core processor runs at 1.66 GHz and has 1 MB of L2 cache. Points to 8.5 watts of power and DDR3 memory support, Intel said in a blog.
netbooks from Asus, Samsung and Lenovo come with Atom N570 processor later this month, Intel said. Some laptops are happening at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.
Netbooks, which is in the chip a number of similar systems, which offers Atom processors from a single-core, Intel said. Battery life depends on the characteristics of the netbooks, screen size and applications. Some may produce netbooks 8:00 to 12:00 hours in the core business, such as Web browsing. But the applications that most computing power, such as high-definition graphics of necessity, the life of the battery pack faster.
The chip was announced Monday by SeaMicro SM10000-64 from the low-power servers, the 256 includes an Atom processor N570. The chip includes the functionality of the server environment, such as 64-bit extensions and multi-threaded, where each core can execute two threads simultaneously increasing application performance. All chips in desktops, laptops and servers on a new Intel microarchitecture Sandy Bridge and its predecessor, Westmere base, which is suitable for multiple threads of memory.
There is growing interest in the use of chips as netbooks Atom low-power servers. However, tablet netbook shipments that compete for consumer dollars were killed. Intel is also working on an atom chip on the table, which is code-named Oak Trail.
I was looking for some Samsung products such as galaxy tab but reached here. Very good information. Thanks
