HP ProBook 4520s Review
The HP EliteBook 4520 has an advantage over previous ProBooks with a brushed metal finish 2010 at the latest Intel Core new.
HP ProBook 4520s Advantages:
Great keyboard
Very good performance
The beauty and quality of construction

HP ProBook 4520s Disadvantages:
Frustrating touchpad
Smaller battery than the previous model

The HP EliteBook 4520 is a portable small and medium enterprise, rather than the 4510s replaced the previous year. The new model of potholes in the old configuration of the Intel Core 2 Duo in the new line of Intel Core processors, including Intel Core i3, i5 and i7. In this article we will see what has changed and how the model of battery than its predecessor.

Construction and Design
The HP EliteBook 4520 has a clean, outside semi-rugged and a notch above the previous generation. The screen plastic cover instead of the 4510s and is made of polished metal, it feels stronger and looks much better. The new metal cap and maintain a clean environment, the most hidden fingerprints and scratch resistant light of abuse every day. The interior receives equal treatment with bronze anodized, brushed metal finish on the wrist and the side speakers.

In addition to these changes, the laptop has a lot of the same design as its predecessor. The keyboard is a model piece of plastic with a glossy black Chiclet, still image, sees the same phenomenon. The bottom of the laptop has the same design-specific cost of removing access to all parts user extensible.

The production quality is very good and a step forward on the old model. Brushed metal cover gives the 4520 a bit of force necessary to protect the screen and the plastic cover on the previous model lacked. The wrist of the network and has also gained some strength and have very little flexibility under pressure. The entire chassis feels very well built, but still a notch below full or EliteBook series ThinkPad notebooks. The keyboard tray is less bent under pressure, it would not be a problem in the more expensive models.

Another area of questionable design is to upgrade the lack of access has its strengths and weaknesses. The top is solid melts very flexible; it is possible that the ground was covered with individual plates. On the other hand, lack of access, it is difficult to replace defective parts or other type on the line.

Screen and speakers
The EliteBook 4520 features a 15.6-inch anti-glare, with a ratio of 16:9. In 1366 x 768 pixels, this HD 720p perfectly usable and has good color and contrast. We know that many people are worried about the screens transition relation clock 16.10 bis 16.09 (and that means lower vertical resolution), but the difference is so small that the vast majority of mobile users than ever problem.

Horizontal viewing angles are very impressive and you start to notice a trend of color with a rise of 75 degrees off center. Vertical viewing angles of only half, the screen begins to wash the top and the colors start at the bottom at its peak around 45 degrees in each direction. The matte finish helped me with the highest point of view, because the plates can sometimes make light reflections that dominate the screen at certain angles.

Speakers for the HP EliteBook 4520 performance above average, with companies from other notebooks small and medium enterprises. Compared to most portable speaker’s public, leave much to be desired, but for easy listening music or your favorite TV transmission on the road should be more than enough. Volume was well advanced for a room size small or medium. Low and medium have failed, but that was part of the course with most laptops in this category.

Keyboard and touchpad
The full-size keyboard on the 4520 shares the same design as in the 4510s and offers a wide space between the input buttons and a special keyboard (a big advantage for companies using computers crunch numbers and data acquisition.) Each key is relatively flat with a nice pad keys sitting on a matt black gloss frame. The support structure around the keys is fairly solid with the chassis design creates additional support for the keyboard. The only area of apparent flexibility on the keyboard when the keyboard is pressed. Note, however, we received a pre-production unit and HP claims that the production units shipping to customers continue to receive increased support to bending.

Keys are not a big noise in the quiet input. The depth of each key press is very good, although some people chicklet style keys, the shell may not like. In general, the keyboard is very good for a laptop of 15 inches.
HP updated the touch screen in 4520 by the 4510s, now with the laptop, including a key with Synaptics ClickPad.

The main difference is the use of a larger area, making gestures and buttons for additional cleaning. That is, we had some difficulties, the new format. If you're a laptop user to rest their fingers on the buttons on the touchpad while you can move the cursor on the screen, in a world of surprise. Even in areas defined touchpad trackpad button to select the fixed fingers and tried to integrate into a multi-touch gesture. Pinch zooming is the gesture that was more active in case of disability, even after all these multi-touch gestures, we have always noticed that the cursor "hip" was in the office. This is very similar to the experience we have with the Dell Inspiron Elantech 11z a touchpad key off. Making matters touchpad button a "dead zone" solve this problem completely.

In general, the touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use (without the problems listed above.) Speed of movement was excellent and we had no problem with a late entry. Multitouch was identified quickly and runs smoothly. The touchpad is a very high refresh rate that allows us to go faster circuits with very little influence on the leakage of the cursor. If the touchpad is not a problem with the left and right buttons with your fingers on the surface, it was one of the nicer models, we used a laptop.

Port selection on the HP EliteBook 4520 for a laptop is good for small businesses, but it seems that there is still room for more ports can be used.
